TELNET BBS guide ..It is a very retro system and colourful with lots of readin matter, articles and ART features. I have recently learned the newest version of Syncterm now caters for Videotex so it's very easy to use this for all your BBSing.

I bring up the Host around 7pm GMT usually and it runs till the early hours, usally around 6am. With North America east coast being 5 hours behindthat'd be from about 2pm-1am so stil
counts as evening for those in the East. Westerly places I suppose couldn't describe it as an evenings only BBS, more of late morning- afternoon, sorta thing. Would welcome avisit from you , sincerely Brian

the Night Owl BBS. It runs on a BBC Master computer via TCPSER and there are dialup gateways to it also. There is

Don't even bother with that. Like so many other Windows bits, it's a poorly implemented version of Telnet.
Curious, what would make you do such a schedule, in this internet-age? That used to be done so as to not tie up the phone lines, but... you don't have internet access 24 hours a day?

He said in his ad it's a Videotex system, which is vintage. If it's the same kind of Videotex I know, then it's basically the same thing as a Tandy/RadioShack Color Computer, but without the cartridge port on the side.
I could definitely understand not wanting to run something that old
24/7.
Yep, I'm beginning to see a massive difference in experience from using wind telnet to SyncTerm.

You should fix this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
... Press any key to continue or any other key to quitAn Acorm Master 128 is an 8bit machine, which has one serial input, therefore only one caller at a time. My machine is now 40 years old so a 24/7 operation is not a good idea for a machine thats so old. The board is very, very retro
